Default Does SS Brake Lines equal leaks?

I have heard Stainless Steel brake lines are prone to leaking because of the harness of the metal. Has anyone had that problem?

i think what they are saying is that where it seats itself the hard steel does not conform easily to the other surface for a tight seal.....i'm using them on the rear trailing arms and they were more difficult to work with then regular steel...but mine are not leaking

You do have to torque them a little more then standard steel but there is no way that the should leak! I replaced all my lines and one did leak at first but once I tightened it I have not had another leak. Any leaks would not be acceptable.

Default I was told to tighten and loosen and re-tighten

a couple of times to help seat the flares on the s.s. lines. I did that but haven't finished the brake system so I don't know if it leaks.

All stainless brake lines here, and yes...they leaked at first in two places, but that's because I did not tighten them enough. After a gorilla job on them with flare wrenches....no leaks.
