Tore out the center gauge cluster and lower console this weekend. The cast metal gauge cluster bezel is broken at the skinny part along the side where the A/C vent/wiper switch panel mounts. It's still perfectly functional and I can't see the break (unless I look closely) when the vent panel is in place.
I want to install a CD player this winter and the original Plan was to get a reproduction bezel so I don't have to cut up my 36 year old original.
Question is...
Should I Shelf the original and keep to the Plan?
Or
Should I scrap the Plan and just cut the broken original?
