Why do people hate my seats?
Last year I installed C4 seats. The leather is the correct saddle color, and I think they look as good as they feel.
But at almost every cruise night I go to there is someone who suggests I put the stock seats back in. I explain to them that I actually drive the car! These seats are very comfortable and I don't think they look too out of place.
I have many other mods, but only 3 are visible: the seats, the Momo steering wheel (which I think looks bad, but it is very comfortable), and the Torque Thrust II wheels.
No one has any problem with the wheels or the steering wheel.
Why do they hate the seats so much???
I personally don't care what others think... but it does boggle my mind.

I say if you like them and they are comfortable go buy a NCRS Tshirt (the contraversial one!) ...then to hell with what other people think.
(and if you find out where you can buy one...drop me a line)

If its a daily driver, go with what is comfortable.
If it is a 100% stock car, then go with the original seats.
If its yours, go with what you want.

Stock is boring. As long as your not putting 5" exhaust tips and double-decker wings on your car dont worry about what other people think, its your car.

I've seen a few with newer Vette seats (C4/C5) and I like them. Don't worry what others think, they aren't the one who's driving it anyway!

I ALWAYS have buttholes come up to me at shows and comment on two things:
1) [whiney know-it-all voice] Wheeeere's the belt for your A/C?
-and-
2) That's not a '74 (rear) bumper! [/whiney know-it-all voice]
I reply with :
1) Where's your car?
-and-
2) How'd you like to suck my ****?

Jay I think they look really nice.
Personally, I would have painted the seat backs Saddle to match the interior though. I believe it would let them blend in with the rest of the interior trim a little better. This may be why people are noticing them as not being original to your car. JMHO jim

That looks pretty nice to me. I'm sure they're much safer and more comfortable than the stock seats as well.

I almost did C4 Sport Seats in my 69. I think they look great. I ended up with 78-82 seats for slightly easier installation. I think yours are fine.
