There is a lot more to Pro-touring/g-machines then big shiny wheels!

Its about building modern braking/handling/drivability into old muscle cars. Its the way im going with my own 69.

One of the best exambles of that in a c3 is probably Chris Macdonald`s "killer shark"

For simplicity, look at it this way; if you are improving both the handling and the power, you are building a "G" machine.
That said, your miles ahead starting with a C3 in the handling department. Case in point: drive any stock, any year C3 (in good condition) through the twisties. Then follow that by any GTO, 442, Chevell, GTX, RX etc. etc. of the same year. You'll find that there is a lot of "G" in the C3 even without modifications.

Yeah, there are quite a few cars on here that have custom wheels, suspensions, engines ... from mild to wild. I've tried to update mine with later technology all through the car without loosing the older car look (i.e. chrome mirrors, original interior, ....)

Apples and oranges. The Vette is a two seat sports car. The list above is 5 passenger intermediate and full size cars. I dunno what an RX is....thought that was a prescription

Show me a car that actually sees the track. That's what makes it not a fad, a real performing sportscar. gkull comes to mind, I know others do too. But there are some that are just pretty cars. That's cool, it's just not the same.

Nice to know that I am building a "G" machine! I thought I was doing my own thing and building in some sensible mods!

Here's my vette on the track after a few laps at Watkin Glen

I 1st upgraded my suspension with the VBP Street & Slalom kit and found the ride to be improved, but wasn't completely satisfied with the handling, especially when at an autocross. I then went to the 17" wheels and could not believe how the handling improved, it was quite noticable over the stcok 15's.

I agree with others that anything that improves upon our cars'; power, performance and safety is a move in the right direction
