Post Tuning for Beer/Alignment Update
Well, just a quick post Tuning for Beer update.
1. Found out why I was running too advanced (40 degrees total) when Lars showed up. Combination of a unsteady advance (fixed by Lars' shimming of the dist shaft, solid readings now) and the fact that my generic dial back light may be off. Lars set my total to 36 degrees and my light shows 34 degrees. Time for a quality light.
2. Got an alignment today. 1000% better. Had to deal with morning rush hour to get there but the guy worked with the specs I wanted and did a nice job for a good price. If anyone wants a good alignment place in RI, PM me.
3. OK. 215-220 miles. Fair amount of highway but 10+ miles of traffic jam this morning plus my usual in town stuff. 12.5 gallons. So, averaging 17-18 mpg (probably 20 on th highway). About the same as my Avalanche and a lot more fun.
