Does anyone have any idea what this “thing” is? I was trying to pull the turn signal flasher on my 79 C3 when this “thing “popped off. I was located in the lower right side of the fuse panel. In front of the flasher. It is 1 ¼ “ long with 2 pigtails there are 3 set on numbers on it as follows I4665046, 47MF3 and 100 WVDC. Does anyone know what it is and what it does and most important what slots does it plug into

It is a capacitor, 47 Microfarad, 100 working volts DC. I had one across the brake light switch originally, it is to stop arcing in the contacts which may be picked up by the AM radio every time you step on the brake.
Usually used for radio suppression.
Seriously, The "thing" you described is a capacitor and the 2 connectors on the wires wrap around the prongs of the flasher unit and plug into the socket in the fuse box.
