Iam in the following situation: Iam 20 and got $12000 to spent on a corvette. Since i never bought a car before i realy dont have any experience. So if some one is realy boring please check for a corvette for me. It should be located not more then 300 miles from detroit since Iam from Windsor ON Canada. It would be nice to get one from canada since i dont have to pay any import tax. Iam looking for a 68-79 corvette in good driving condition. It must have manual gear change. It would be very nice to have some performance tune up done for more HP and torque. Iam looking for a corvette now for over 3 month and its already the middle of the summer. Looking on my own iam scared to get ripped of, becasue of my lack in experience.
In the United States, we have several publications that advertise used vehicles. "Hemmings Motor News", "Auto Trader", "Michigan Auto & RV", and others. Perhaps, you could make a trip across the border and find one? They are usualy at every gas station and newsstand and available for very little money (Some are free).
We have many members here from Canada, but I don't know specifically where they are located . I'm sure they will come in here and give some ideas.
Do you have specific questions or concerns, or are you just trying to locate a car?
I saw a pretty nice looking yellow/black/black convertible from Toronto on eBay this week. Here's a link....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT ....check frames and undercarriage up there though 'cause you guys use a lot of salt on your roads when the going gets rough.
WOW!!! I scanned over the For Sale section and a few other sites for you and damn the chrome bumper cars are up there. I just thought I got a sweet deal on back in December for my '69 L46 Vert for $15K.
Well it's looking like you are going to be in the market for a 73-82. Shouldn't be too hard to find a nice one for 6-8K. I've got a perfect one for you sitting in the garage but the mom-in-law won't let me sell it, '77 Corvette Yellow 4-speed with a fuel injected 383. It's a sweet car.

There's something you don't see every day, an '81 convertible.
when you are bored, you feel like you have nothing to do, when you are boring other people find that you are not an interesting person, one is just a statement of your mood, the other is an insult usually
From: Arlington Va Current ride 04 vert, previous vettes: 69 vert, 77 resto mod
