Default LED's?

Has anyone thought of trying to switch out any lite bulbs out to LED type? www.superbrightleds.com

This is a link to the LED tail light that I purchsed (4 of them) and then proceeded to install inside brand new tail light housings. It is more work then the simple light bulb replacement but I wanted to go to LED's and to many people had bad things to say about the LED light bulb replacement

i put 1157 led lights in and was disappointed by the brightness. They may be a little brighter than incandacent but the big advantage is that they should last a long time.

FYI
I also had issues with the tail light pig tails so I wanted to replace them as well. Rather then buy new ones I jusy did the LED mod which from the pictures in the URL you will see replaces the connector.

The people that I talked with on this forum and face to face all said the same thing as TurtleVette. Make sure you can return them...

I've used some LEDs from ct lumination but only in the interior. The nice thing is they give off no heat , especially for the overhead dome light and come in all sorts of colors.

I run LED tail lights only in my '61. On my '69 the angle of the socket make them look dim and odd. I wanted to run them to increase the reaction time of the car behind be to have better odds NOT to be rearended!!
