Not sure if my other post was deleted - couldn't find it this morning.
I have a chance to buy a 1973 4-speed coupe frame as a replacement for my totally rotted out 1969 4-speed convertible. Will this swap work? Any issues?
It is do-able, according to my local corvette frame guy. He does it very often, as the earlier frames are becoming more rare. He just mods the bumper support areas, and I believe that is all.
edit: you know though, why make a scratchwork frame when you can just build a carbon fiber composite frame that will be way more kick @$$?

let me rephrase that. of course they are expensive, but does anyone know a ballpark figure?
A custom carbon fiber Vette frame? I'd guess about $40 grand!! There are, however, some cool tubular frames being made from scratch in the $3-5,000 range.
