Thought I would ask this through the forum. I was told that suspension on our cars are so tight that if just one of the coil springs is not seated properly, it will hold the entire front end up (both sides) Is this true? The reason I ask is because of the height problem I'm having on my 76. The passenger side is definately seated properly but the car still sits way too high evenly on both sides. Someone told me that if the drivers side is not seated properly and the passenger side is, then the height will still be too high equally on both side. Could this be possible?
If you place a car jack under the driver's side frame next to the lower control arm and jack the driver's side front up by 3-4" ---- what's going to happen to the passenger side ??? The passenger side will be "up" by at least 2-3" .....
... mainly due to the front sway bar, which links the two lower control arms.
Undo the sway bar end links, and the left/right coupling should reduce dramatically.
Also depends how big a bar you have in front.
