Door lock Problems
Hey I locked the doors on my 71 convertable to go on vacation. I normally don't lock the doors. But I can't get the driver door unlocked now. The key just spins and from the inside I can hear the locking mecanisim working, but no unlocking the door. Any suggestions? Also does anybody have a diagram or a picture with the door panel off that I can reference to try and get my door open. Thanks

It looks like his pics are now gone, I hope not.
My guess is that you are having the same problem that I had - locks that are hardly ever used, combined with 30+ years of gunk. I paid for a locksmith, but I think that I could have gotten away with spraying WD-40 or similar stuff inside and under the door handle, and between the door and the window. Spray it a couple of times, then work the key. Try both doors, you may get lucky.
