Just run the horn wires directly from the battery, to the horn, and install a little temporary switch under the dash.. or better yet, just touch the hot wire to the one running to the horn when you need to honk..... Well, it worked for my brothers car when we were in Highschool.......
Any chance you might be able to give me a hand Saturday morning at my place getting my steering column back together. I'm struggling with the high beam switch part of it and I can't get the C-clamp back in without a third hand. Friggin' tilt steering wheel....
I put a new switch in and now the high beam part of it is out of whack..
BTW, I found the short in the horn...wire was broken.

D'oh!!!!! I was out of town and missed your message. If you still need a hand, I might have an hour or so tonight to give you a hand. But chances are your either already on the road and have it all fixed.

With NO help from the weather gods, I made it from Troy IL to Yorktown Va today. It rained basically all of Indiana, West Virginia and it absolutely poured on 295 going around Richmond. I couldn't see my flip up headlights.
Left at 0542 CT and arrived at 2142 ET (09:42 p.m. for you civilians :-)) Would've been more fun if the weather had been nice.
Oh well, maintenance phase starts tomorrow after work.... YEAH !
Time to hit the shower and go to bed. Then it's off to work...
Hey Port Dawg,
Are you going to living in Yorktown?? If so your right down the street from me.(my in-laws live in Yorktown) I'm right off of Ft. Eustis Blvd, across from Newport News Park. I'm not back yet, but I found out that I'm on ADVON party, so I'll be back 1st 2 weeks of Aug. Glad you made it safe though. SGT Kirk
Cool! See you at the Yorktown Pub then in a few weeks! SGT kirk
Ummmm...you'll have to give me directions...I can find my way to work and to the new house....and I know where Wal-Mart and Home Depot are...other than that :o
Just tell me where in Y-town your working and I can get you there. If you like small pubs you'll like this one. Good food, good prices, beach in front for "eye candy" SGT Kirk
