Default Small problem made big

Well I got bit in the butt last week and man was it fun

I have had a leak from my manifold for some time now and it has never been a real problem. I have wanted to fix it and all to get rid of the stupid noise it makes and all but a broken bolt in the bock that was needed to hold the manifold to the head made it a little hard to fix; that and a lack of money. Bust as far as I knew I did not need to fix this problem in a hurry cause all it was going to do was make a noise and draw from my horses right?? WRONG

Last week my car started misfiring and riding rougher and rougher until I knew it was an issue that had to be dealt with. And when I got under the car the problem that was found made me just a bit mad at my self. The leak from the manifold fried all of the spark plugs and wires on that side!!!! And I just put those ones in not 3mounth ago!

So I fixed the spark plugs and wires myself and then I had to have my block machined out to remove the bolt and have all the gaskets changed on that side and the manifold put back on. And man was that a pretty penny.

So it just goes to show you.... when a problem comes up, no matter how small, fix it right away or don’t drive the car.
but at least through all of this I learned a good lesson and that is what matter....... right

Billy

But at least my car sounds great again... nothing like a good deep rore to wake you up in the morning
