If you really want a Corvette, stay away from that dealer, sell your dart, and approach a private seller with cash. You're much more likely to get a better deal from a private seller.

That's what I'm planning on doing. It just makes it a bit more difficult with the Dart being 3000 miles away. I also talked to my uncle today, who recently purchased a '79 Vette for $6,500(seen here ). He feels the same way about it as myself and many others on this forum, run and find a better Vette. Thanks again for the great advice and responses.

Most of the items listed are fairly minor.

But between the wrong front end and the interior seeming to be have been changed for no reason???? It was 1 or 2 accidents.
The fender deal is from it being pushed in and popping back out like a spring, they don't always shatter. The crack is literally a crack.
Seems like something is being hidden like it was a totaled car that was "fixed".
The thing I mentioned before about the tail light lens is there is a casting year in the lenses on just about all cars. Can be earlier but not later, like 68 on a 69, but not 70 on a 69. If the car wasn't in a front end accident then it wouldn't have a 69 on the lens. Not a 69.
Your swinger has it too on the front and rear lenses.

Just so you know supply and demand (less years run? Chrome? engines?) the double chromers cost a whole bunch more than the later years. Same 69 in condition of that 79 would be twice as much?
Its also 10 years older!

One suggestion is to check web based wanted ads (very time consuming) and when you find what your looking for post it, then maybe someone in the area can check it out for you. This does involve a drive but its better than an isolated value area like your in, don't forget Canada!
