Is NCOA worthwhile?

Is NCOA worthwhile?
Has anyone heard of the National Corvette Owners Association? I got a letter to join (as I'm sure most of probably do), and I don't know anything about them.
Basically, I wouldn't want to join if this is something like "who's who" that targets high-school kids. I have pride in ownership, and I'd just assume associate myself with legit organizations?
Any input?

I assume that it's spam snail mail that arrived at my door because a vendor shared my name and address with them. I have little interest when there letters arrive. I just rip them in half and file them in the trash can.

Not really worth the membership fee.. You get a crappy 10 page magazine (copy machine quality) and that's about it... I was a member for 1 year but didn't renew...
