Manual steering box
Has anyone used one of the manual steering conversion boxes in their late model C3? I'm debating between:
trying to rebuild the steering on our '80 (eventually), which would entail
replacing virtually everything
installing a steeroids kit
or
installing a manual steering box (What besides the box would be required? What weight savings would there be (if any)?)

The boxes are the same for power and non power. The center link and pitman arm are different and the location of the tie rod end in the knuckle is different. Hwat exactly is the problem? most power steering problems not related to the box are either hose leaks or control valve.
