Aftermarket Car Alarms?
Just curious how many of you have car alarms in your vette? If so, which one? What features wyould you recommend?
Did you install it yourself or take it to a specialty shop?
Right now, I do not have a (working) alarm and am strongly considering it.
Thoughts?

I have several cut-off features and a locking shifter **** (auto). I prefer these over an alarm due to the fact that I hate it when someone else's alarm goes off falsely. Nobody pays attention to them anyway. I saw a Porsche once (in a condo parking lot) with the words "Shut Up" keyed in the driver's door. Apparently the alarm woke someone up...
I also have Lo-Jack, but am looking to convert that to a GPS alert system I can track on my own. I, as a private citizen, can do more than the police when it comes to getting my car back.
However, if you do not have a garage, then an alarm which will alert you while inside your home is useful. Silent (pager-type) would be best...
