Darn Neighbors
Well I got a visit from the County Officer today, someone complained about my noisy opened header SBC 383. I was tweaking the timing and carb. It just sounds so sweet it's hard to turn it off.
Well the Lady officer actually thought it was pretty cool I was doing a frame off and she stood there a while talking to me about it.
She said I wasn't doing anything illegal since I wasn't setting off illegal fireworks, or harming anyone. She said that it's ok and reasonable since I was building a car and it was in the middle of the day.
Well I shut it down , but it won't be the last time the neighbors hear it.
One of the more pleasant experiences I have had with an officer of the Law. Cool

One time I was breaking in a cam in a 427 which was in my 68 Camaro SS. I let it run for about an hour with open headers in the middle of the day. My neighbor later told me that it was the perfect rumble to put her 2 year old to sleep for his nap!! She was so cool about it that I told her to not hesitate in calling me if I do get too loud.
