Default hardtop information

Can someone please tell me if possible what the date of this hardtop is.
I have looked at the hardtop and here's what I have found. On the inside of the top under the back window the following numbers appear embossed on the hardtop in big numbers 48466 and in small numbers 7648 1 12 10 68 it looks like hard to see. On the rear glass on the drivers side it has
SAFETY FLOLITE
SOLID TEMPERED
DOT M72
There is no written black marker dates under the panels. I am trying to make sure everthing matches. Thanks .

Dec. 10, 1968? Does it have the stainless caps on the rear corners?

yes it does. So If I have a March 69 car this should be considered a matching top..

I thought that was a sequence number not a dated number?

The glass should read "Safety LOF Plate". Under the word plate there should be 2 letters. The first is for month, the 2nd letter is for year.

They break down as follows:

N=Jan
X=Feb
L=Mar
G=Apr
J=May
I=June
U=July
T=Aug
A=Sept
Y=Oct
C=Nov
V=Dec

2nd letter

A=1966 or 79
Z=67 or 80
X=68 or 81
V=69 or 82
T=70 or 83
N=71 or 84
Y=72
U=73
L=74
I=75
C=76
G=77
J=78

This info is from the NCRS Judging Guide 1970-72

That may be correct coding for sidewindows, windshield and coupe rear glass, but I am not buying that coding for hardtop glass. Between biggvette and me, we have three

SAFETY FLOLITE
SOLID TEMPERED
DOT M72

As I stated the date coding is from the 70-72 NCRS judging manual and I believe it is correct for all glass regardless of year.

The wording I used is off an original 68 dated hardtop I own. That may be different depending on year and originality.

Mine has: Safety [LOF] Plate
AS2 CX
Solid Tempered
M52
CX is the date code for my hardtop.

just looked at the rear glass on the '73 convertable that I just got, it says:

"SAFETY FLOLITE"
"SOLID TEMPERED"
"DOT M72"

under the "FLOLITE" word is a code of "TY" which, according to the above NCRS Judging info, equates to August 1972, which would be about right for a '73.

I accept your word on it, I just can't find any additional codes on either of my hardtop window glasses.
