Ever hear of this product? You apply it on your windshield and rain is repelled, almost like having an invisible wiper. I boutht this stuff and applied it a few years ago, but never got cought in any rain, until last night...the wipers don't work, and haven't gotten around to finding out why...will have to before I leave for Carlisle...anyway, got cought in rain and while the water does not disappear while standing still, once moving the windshield is clear, as if no rain...amazing stuff.
i used it when it first came out in 86 or 87 ,didnt have wipers on one of my 69 camaros and only used rain x,the best thing ever, never needed wipers for 3 years.
Yes, it's been avail. a long time & I have had it on hand. Someone said ArmorAll works too, so I tested it & it works (avail. at more places if needed).
They all so make an anti fog product (fog x?) that works well. You wipe it on the inside glass so it doesn't fog up. Worked great on some of the old cars I've had over the years that didn't have a working defrogger.

I use it on everything I own. I started using it on my Patrol Car years ago to keep my light bar clear and to help keep the bugs from sticking to it. It works great on plastic lens and light covers.
When I restore a plastic lens I use 3M Finesse to clean it and then Rain X to protect the newly polished lens. This will protect plastic just like wax will paint but does not leave the white residue regular wax does. jim
You have to make absolutely sure the window is CLEAN before applying. If not it will make a haze as noted earlier. The anti fog works good as well and another use for it is on the bathroom mirror so it won't fog up while you're in the shower. Also as mentioned put it on headlights and such as well to make cleaning easier, we have a "love bug" season down here and believe me you need all the help you can get to get them cleaned off.
