Default HELLO C-3 Folks!

I'm visiting from the C-2 Forum to inquire about some C-3 fundamentals. I sold my C-3 (69) to a friend about 4 years ago and I was looking for more basic info than what the Black book offers, as I don't have any books on the C-3's. (i.e. noland adams etc). My friend has nothing at all and I want to get him fired up on knowing his own vette!

For instance;
1.) Where is the trim tag on the C-3 or is there one?
2.) VIN # 194379S736787, the black book shows the "S" but my friend thinks it is a 5.
3.) I see that coupes all start with 194379. So how is the later part of the VIN interpreted?
4.) Is the VIN # located any other place on the car other than the door jam?
5.) Tank sticker?

Anything you folks think will help please respond, I can just copy this thread and take it to work tomorrow.
I'm trying to get him on the forum also. Thanks alot and

Mike S.

Trim tag is on one of the door jambs on my 79.

If you are talking about the VIN for the 1969:

Division (1): Chevrolet
Car Line (9437): Corvette Sport Coupe
Model Year (9): 1969
Plant (S): St. Louis, MO
Sequence Number: 736787

Tank Sticker is on the tank but that's the thing that everyone searches for on their cars...good luck finding it and no it's not easy to find. It's usually on top and unless you take the car apart...

Except that the sequence is only the last 5 digits...
