Any of you guys hear of a motor vac system. The shop I just gave my left leg to said they had to motor vac my engine to get the stuff off the valves and the rest of the internal stuff. Sounded fishy but it sure runs better.
In Texas I'd say that means they suck the sand out of your injectors ......Just kidding...sounds like a "flush" of some kind to eliminate sludge....
What does your invoice say ?
The motorvac system is a carbon cleaning system, never seen it used on a carberated car before but I'm sure it would work fairly well at cleaning the back of the valves and the cumbustion chambers. Basically what it does is run your engine on a special cleaner that is cumbustible so it cleans everywhere the fuel goes.
I did some reading on the net and it is just a cleaning system that replaces the regular fuel with special cleaners. It loops the fuel line from the tank back to the tank and separates the throttle bodies then pumps a cleaner into it. It is supposed to make the car run cleaner and restor performance back to new levels. I can't speak for the running cleaner but it sure runs better.
