alright, well i finaly got this car up and running last week. turned out it was a couple of fried wires so the new starter wouldnt kick in.

friday, the car idles great. didnt take it out on the road since theres no insurance.

sunday, starts up just fine when i show it to a friend of mine.

today, i go to start it up to move it around and its fireing on 2 cyinlinders. every now and hten another couple will kick in.

nothing has happend to this car in the last 48hrs. it ran good, i turned it off, and its sat up until now.

Perhaps you burned through some plug wires? I'd say you need to do a full ignition system tuneup to start with. Are you certain that NOTHING was touched between Sunday and today?

Could it be possible that the distributor hold down bracket is not tight allowing the distributor to rotate and change timing? Just a thought.

Moisture under the cap but with this oven of a summer?

Sounds more like wires are shorting though. This can happen too on humid days if the wires are old and shot.

we pulled the plugs out today. they dont look great, but they definatly dont look bad.

we decided to just go ahead and replace it all. tomarrow were picking up new plugs and wires for the thing.

fix one thing on this car, 2 more things break
