I live in Covington LA but I own 72 acres in Brookhave MS and have a hunting camp (mobil home) there. Covington is about 45 min from the state line either to Pearl River, Tylertown, or Poplarville.

I'll be at Cruisin in a few weeks

North of Madison can't be too far from me!

Let's meet at a drag strip somewhere!

If you haven't done this you're missing something - this is unbelievable - last year 5000+ cars entered - probably that many more not entered - when the sun goes down, the crazies come out!

Hey BL,

I'm on the other side of town, off old 78 in Lee's Crossing sub. Have you been to Sonic on Goodman at Getwell on sunday nights? There is some kind of muscle car club that meets up there every sunday. I went by a couple of weeks ago and they had some nice cars. Didn't see any vettes though. A MS meet sounds good. Unfortunately I have one of those that I'd be afraid of driving to the next county much less further. Soon as I change jobs (which is very soon) I hope to have more time to work on it. I'll PM you my number. Give me a call and we can meet up somewhere.

I will be at Cruzin the Coast again this year. I am going on the 8th and 9th of OCT. My dad and stepmom have a gift shop in Bay St Louis called the Purple Snapper (on Second street). If anyone of you are there come on in and ask for "Mike Jr", if I am there and not out looking at cars we'll introduce ourselves and hang out.

I have been to the Sonic and looked at those cars myself. There used to be a club that met down at Happy Days in Nesbit also. Like you, I have not noticed any Vettes. My vette is in Nesbit right now at my dads shop. His shop is much better equipeed than my garage. I am in the process of going through it.... I am looking forward to the fall weather so it will not be so dang hot. Look forward to meeting you... maybe we can get some sort of vette club going here in N MS.

You guys want to hook up at my house one Saturday? Burgers and Beer? My subdivision has private roads, so burn outs are acceptable. At least until the neighbors start complaining........

I'm located about 3 mile north of Madison (which is 8 miles north of Jackson).....rural setting.......

Let me know.........

Sounds good to me! Not tomorrow tho as we're doing a valve stem seal swap on the big-block. You can come over and check it out if you want. My right-hand man Grayhook is coming and I think he invited Skydaddy. I'll supply drinks and beer...hope to get started around noon.

Next Saturday is the cruise-in in Byram. That would be a good weekend to do it if everybody is cool with it. We could goof off and wrench all day, then whoever wants to can ride to the cruise-in ~6 p.m. Whadda yall say??

Brett

I am gonna show around 12 or so - but it aint gonna be in the vette. The vette is up on jack stands without a rear end under the car. I can bring pics though.

Brett.....I'm gonna try and make it down. Working on the overheating issues this morning. Damn it's hot already......send me a pm with directions to your house. This probably isn't a good day to run the vette (99* temps excpected). May just bring the truck and watch, but I wasn't wanting to get you guys input on my hot running problem.

I think I can run it down their running about 60 without the A/C on, but that would be brutal!
