I installed the 550lbs coil springs, now the rear is a little bit on the soft side with my stock 9-leaf spring
I read the spring rate for the 9-leaf spring is less than 200, many recommend a 360lbs fiberglass spring to match the 550s in the front ...
I don't know that I need a fiberglass spring, I only want to make the rear a little stiffer... the 7-leaf steel spring (300lbs ??) is only available in 2 1/4" width ? My stock spring is 2 1/2" ...
Is there a steel spring that fits (spring rate and width) ?
If you like you can mount a dual mount spring and dial in whatever rate you want.
They aren't cheap and aren't a bolt in replacement but are adjustable.

That would be overkill, I don't race the car....
I think a 7-leaf steel spring would fit my needs best.... if therer is one available in 2 1/2" width...
There should be a 7 leaf avail. for your year. There are spring shops that can rebuild/rearch leaf springs. VBP has the composite replacement 330 for less weight.
Call Gulstrand at 818-558-1499...they can advise...I will be buying a new 7 leaf from them..also important to select correct shocks to go with spring...they can tell you how to set it up..
