Default Goodbye

Well the time has come to say goodbye. Thank you all for your expert advice, support and friendship. SWEET74 left on a flatbed today, bound for Australia. Hated to see it leave the country, but I was tired of dealers offering me half what the car was worth, tire kickers, and the wannabees. Gentleman from down under was honest, gave me what I wanted for the car, and closed the deal in a very professional manner. I was both surprised and pleased. Would not hesitate to do business with him again.

I am feeling your pain today also. I watched the new owner of my 95 Formula Firebird drive off into the sunset. I have owned it almost 8 years. Bought a 04 ZO6 two weeks ago & just can't afford to keep all my toys. I am gonna try to hang on to my 76 vette so the Z won't be lonely in the garage. But if hard times come she will have to go also.
So It is kind of a sad day for me also!

well actually it all balances itself out you see.... we drive upside down DOWN UNDER...and the thing is the CORIOLIS EFFECT balances the forces out....so we don't have to worry!

[Anyone watch the Simpsons? Remember BART vs AUSTRALIA episode?]
Bart: [dials] Hello, Operator? I'd like to make a collect call to
[in Australia, a phone rings; a koala electrocutes itself]
Operator: This is the international operator. Will you accept a collect
call from --
Bart: [lowering voice] Uh, yes. Uh, ahem, this is Dr. Bart Simpson
of the International Drainage Commission. It's an emergency.
Tobias: If it's an emergency, then.
Bart: We understand some drains in your area have been
malfunctioning, sucking in people and...whatnot.
Tobias: Willikers! That's awful.
Bart: [gravely] Indeed. We need you to check your sinks and toilets
and tell us which way the water is going, and please! Stand
clear.
[Tobias checks sink and toilet]
Tobias: [breathless] The fixtures...they're all draining clockwise,
Sir!
Bart: D'oh, she was right, stupid Lisa science queen.

Sad to see it go, but sounds like it went to a good new owner.

because its leaving the country??

Well I can tell ya that if you are going to go through the whole process of importing then your more than likely to look after the car and look after it well. Its better than someone buying it and not looking after it isn't it?
