It's been very nice here in Northern Va the last few days so I've been taking the Vette to work. Let me start by saying 90% of the roads I travel to work on are two lane country roads. This morning I was behind a slow pickup truck and passed him in a passing area. There were 3 cars behind me before I passed him. I made a few curves and all of a sudden a blue C5 passed all 4 cars behind me the road right up on my A$$. I came to a stop sign to turn right and a car was coming towards me on the road I was turning on. He was kind of far away so I went. This A-hole didn't even stop for the sign (like everyone in NVA) and tried to catch me. I eventually had to slow for another car and stayed behind this car until the next passing area. I passed the car and so did sh%t for brains behind me. This was the last passing area until I get to work.... anyway this idiot proceeds to pass me going up a hill on a blind curve. Just about the time he got beside me, sure enough, a car was coming from the other direction. I hit the brakes and he barley made it back in the lane. Next thing I know he is passing another car in a non-passing area and almost bought it again from on-coming traffic. Now I am not the safest driver out there and I do speed (most of the time ) but there is one thing I don't do is pass in no passing area. What a jerk. This is the kind a A$$hole that gives Corvette owners a bad rap. BTW - He didn't even wave.....I did with a single digit.

I had a car full of kids pass me once when I was in my vette as we were going up an incline with a blind spot on the other side. I wasn't far from home, but I was pissed that this kid was willing to put his friends and my life in danger just to say he passed a vette. I could just see the news line saying we were racing when it happened
thankfully ive never had that happen in the 2 years since ive been driveing my vette. im more worried about the suv's that always fail to see me and try running me over.
then theres the little ricers that pull up next to me at a light and rev there engine to no end trying to race me. ill take off normaly and still pull away from them with out even haveing to jump on it.

That kind of driving will certainly catch up to him. All the same, the death penalty is a sad price to pay for reckless driving. Keep the shiny side up!
I think that same guy drives here in Dallas but when he passes people he almost immediately pulls back in front and stomps his brake. I'm bi-lingual so I always wave with one and then two fingers, just in case they didn't understand the first time.
I get knuckleheads trying to pace/race me all the time. So far the biggest dope has been some fool in an SUV with huge wheels/tires and about 6 tv's (all on - probably ****) chasing me downhill on a wide sweeping curve in the freeway at 110+. Very late at night so almost no traffic for the safety consious...me included. I could just see one of his tires blowing and that thing rolling etc etc, then someone accusing me of racing.
Not sure what people are thinking, but there must be something about passing a car that seems faster than yours, no matter how dangerous it is.
