The recent post on door alienment and shims... I can understand. What can one do about sagging doors? Drivers side is about an 1/8 low and the passenger door is about 3/16 or so low. Please advise? Don
Comp, Pins and hinges look fine! From what I can tell anyway. I've read sometime back that the older C-3 were known for this problem and was wondering if there was fix for it... Please advise, Don
I had the same problem with my '78. what I did was take off the kick panels, put a floor jack with a 2x4 on top and placed it under the end of the door, loosened the upper door hinge and raised the door a little, then tightened the hinge. the re-adjusted the door striker and now my doors line up even.

My drivers side door had a similar problem. However, it also dragged slightly. Anyway, new pins and bushings fixed the problem. Have you grabbed the end of the door and tried to move it up and down to see it there is any play?
If you haven't removed the pins to inspect, I don't think you'll know if their OK. Bushings can be worn so I'd replace the pins & bushings FIRST (cheap) Then re-align the doors & striker. Check hinge mount bolts too by removing the kick panel (body side mount bolts) ..and door panel & upper access plate (door side hinge bolts).

Thanks guys, yea... I feel no play by lifting the door end up and down, ummmm. but, I will remove hardware and replace bushing and pin to see what happens as I'm sure they need replacing anyway. Again... thanks!!!! Don
