Default 1976 Ammeter

I am a little confused about which ammeter came stock with a 1976 Corvette. Perhaps this is an early 76 versus not early 76 issue.

The one in my car now reads from -40 to +40 and has the word Battery under the needle. This sure looks like the 72 - 74 ammeter which I see for sale fairly often. (White theme compared to the earlier green theme).

Is there something radically different between the 72 - 74 ammeter and the 1976 ammeter?

Thanks

David

The 76 gauges are a little different in the numbers. The numbers are a little squarer than the 72-74 gauges. They are both the same gauges just the face is a little different.
