Love The Pipes
My only complaint is that GM didn't put them on all the models.

As long as you use spiral turbo baffles, it is worth putting up with the rust happy headers for the great performance. If you have stainless headers, all the better.

I'd like to add chrome Hooker side pipes to my '81. Only problem is the car would not pass emissions testing here in northern IL.

You plan to keep the AR wheels? If so, keep the pipes. If you want to get rid of the pipes, go back to the factory wheels.

I did not look at any of the other answers before posting my opinion. C3 Corvettes + side pipes = HOT (or should that be cool). Sides pipes look awesome on C2's and C3's I wished I has some, but mama lost her humor about $5,000 ago.
