Default Poll - sidepipes

Ok guys, a little un-scientific poll for you all. I am thinking about going back to an under car exhaust (still have most of one in the garage). Of course, I can't make up my mind (indecision may or may not be my problem). So, let's see what CF thinks.

Pipes? Yes or No. Feel free to check my pics.

Depends on the car. Your Vette? Definetly looks good with pipes.

I find one very big advantage to sidepipes in that there is not any exhaust plumbing under the car to deal with.
Work on the rear end, no pipes in the way. Want to drop the tank, no mufflers in the way. Want to add an electric fuel pump, go at it.
Don't have to thread an exhaust system through the framing.
The underbelly of the car is easier to deal with with out large and small intestines running through it.

Side pipes do look really cool ...but I also think rear exit dual exhaust looks cool . Before I even got my vette I bought 69 style original sidepipe covers and pipes....now that I have them I haven't been in a rush to put them on

I don't know whether to go sidepipes or not...cause of rear valence and the non-originality issue......but I know if they were on my vette in the first place there would be no way I would change them back!

Yours look cool...I say keep them! since you already have them on, why change them back!

I will admit to feeling old when I say things like this... but I can't get my eye used to big wheels & low profile tires on C3's or side pipes on rubber bumpers.

But it's about personal preference and what your vision of your car is. The presentation on your car is consistent and the pipes look right.

It depends on the car, and what you want. Irregardless of the poll.....its what you like.
