Does anyone paint their automatic transmission?
Before I put my automatic transmission back in my car I'm changing the oil/filter and putting a chrome pan on it. It doesn't look that great stock even after all of the scrubbing. Does anyone paint their auto trans? Black is my choice.

Painted mine grey. Bolted the tranny to a engine stand and made it real nice to turn it and paint the whole thing in one shot. Realy looks a lot nicer than the corroded aluminum and much easier to clean!!!!!!!!

Someone posted the underbelly of theirs and had a red tranny, looked good that way. Stood right out.
Me I would polish it even if it wasn't torn down if it was out.
I'm an aluminut.
I polish anything aluminum. Went crazy with my OB and polished the entire midsection and clamps, then Kandied them.
Just goes to show you can polish anything aluminum.
