Default 4-Post Lift

From now until October 31st, X-Auto Products and Revolution Lift are teaming up to offer CF members an XLT model 4-Post Lift for $2995, plus Revolution will give you the Drip Pan Kit for FREE!!! The Revolution 4-Post Lift is made in the USA by Rotary Lifts. Rotary is the world leader in commercial & industrial automotive lifts. No one builds a stronger, safer and more durable lift for the automotive enthusiast.

NO OTHER LIFT MANUFACTURER builds as much quality into a lift. All Revolution Lifts are built to meet the requirements of the Automotive Lift Institute. Each design is tested by the ETL, an OSHA-designated nationally recognized testing laboratory, to ensure compliance with ANSI standards ALCTB-1998 and UL Standard 201. In fact, each lift comes with its own certification label to ensure you that your lift is up to the job. The 4-Post Lifts are rated for up to 7,000 pounds, have 110v or 220v motors, and come in a choice of four colors (red, blue, black or yellow). Plus, there is a great selection of options to choose from.

THINGS TO CONSIDER
Ceiling Height -
In order to ensure that you have adequate room for a 4-Post lift, you need to consider the following parameters:
A - the height of the car you will store on top of the lift (consider using the tallest car you have just in case),
B - the height of the car you will store on the bottom (consider using the second tallest car you have just in case),
C - the height of the lift runways the upper car will rest on - use 5 inches,
D - the MINIMUM distance between the garage floor and the LOWEST obstruction that the upper car may interfere with (such as garage door tracks, a garage door opener, lighting, shelving, etc.).

When calculating your ceiling height, simply add A+B+C, then add another 6 inches to allow for the lift to be raised high enough so you can safely lower the lift back down to engage the locking mechanisms. If the total of A+B+C+ 6 inches is less than D, then you have enough ceiling height to accommodate a 4-Post lift with the vehicles you've used for establishing the above parameters.

Delivery -
Although the shipping charges will get the lift delivered to your house if you like, you will likely be far better off to have it delivered to an interim receiving facility with the appropriate loading docks and equipment. This is due to the fact that the shipping weight of a 4-Post lift is about 2100 pounds, and it will arrive at your house awaiting a forklift to get it off the truck. The solution is for you to use a trailer to pick up your lift at the receiving facility where their forklift can properly load the container onto your trailer. Then, it is a fairly easy task to unpack the lift components and move them into your garage for assembly after you arrive home.

Shipping charges are 6% of the complete order to any address in the continental United States. Certain states charge a sales & use tax of 6% (applies to deliveries in CA, CO, FL, IN, KS, MI, MO, OH, PA, TN, TX, NY only). More information about the designs, specifications and other details of these Revolution Lifts can be found at:
www.x-autoproducts.com/pages/4postliftspecs.htm

Or, as always, please feel free to call us 800-559-1192 to discuss things in detail. Thank you very much.

Very Best Regards,

Barry

that's a good question.

the answer is, no it is not. i've never heard about a Revolution Lift that FELL over or dropped the platform. i HAVE heard about foreign-made lifts that have crashed unexpectedly. i think you're making a good point about build quality. if anyone is interested, please check out this side-by-side comparison of the Revolution Lift against several of its competitors....

http://www.x-autoproducts.com/pages/ftc_liftpsecs.htm

you should carefully examine the last row, where it gives the shipping weight of each lift. you'll notice that the Revolution Lift is 2100 pounds. most others are 1400-1700 pounds. that's a very big difference and is not due to it being physically larger than the other lifts. it's due to being made from more steel. the Revolution Lift is overbuilt relative to its capacity, thus adding to its operational safety.

please feel free to call if you have any questions.
thanks,
barry

I guess I don't have to worry about it falling over
My 71 weights 3153 lb
My 79 weights 3372
Your lift is good for 2100, this means my car will still be on the floor not in the air

just to clarify (although it's already been stated),

the lifting capacity of Revolution 4-Post Lifts is 7000 pounds.
the unit weights 2100 pounds, which is a lot more than most of its competitors.

as an additional comment regarding how well built these lifts are, each corner of the lifting platform is raised/lowered via a steel cable. each of the four cables has a MINIMUM-rated breaking strength of 14,000 pounds.

i'm always available by phone if anyone has any questions.
thanks,
barry

If his lift was only good for 2100 lbs, I don't think he'd be advertising anywhere but the VW bug forum .

I'll be in the market for a lift fairly soon (soon as the garage is finished), are you giving any deals on the shorter length (not xlt)? I really don't need a rack that long to store and work on the corvettes.

Pat, Take a look at lifts.com Just another option to consider before buying. That is where I got mine. Don't believe you made it to the C3 Tech Day at my house but you are welcome to stop by anytime and take a look. It is the original four post design manufactured down in Texas by a company called Genisis.....Galaxy or somthing like that. Eagle originally used them before they cloned (stole) the design and started manufacturing one themselves. Anyway, it is a little cheaper than what is being offered here and IMO on a par with it. (made in usa) 70Muscle just purchased one from somewhere????not sure. Word is the next Tech day will be us over at his place helping him put it together I will PM you a picture.

O my !!

Now that is conserving space ! I just want a lift that raises my car off the ground a decent amount for working under it, not for parking under it.

well, this is a very interesting direction for my group purhcase thread. i'd prefer not having competitors links posted here if that's okay with everyone.

as for the question...

73 LS-4
please give me a call to discuss the standard model lift. the manufacturer hasn't posted any discounts for that one, but i might be able to persuade them.

thanks all,
barry

I have just pulled the permit for my garage and will be in the market for a lift.

How long will the special run? I expect to have the garage finished before January 1st God willing and the creek doesn't rise.
