Hi, Just a thought here about item #4, the gowns, ski passes and new skis, are the recipients old enough to work and HELP pay for 'em ? I found out that my kids, a 17 yr.old son and a 16 yr. old daughter, appreciate things much more if they themselves work for getting them. . Dont get me wrong,,, I'd like to be able to give my kids everything they want,,, or think they need, but it just aint gonna happen,, they soon lose respect and values if handed everything. Peace and good luck with all your projects,,,Craig

I'll try to make you feel better...

My daughter totaled my 1990 Mustang Hatch when some dumb blind old twit from NJ turned left in front of her (we moved here from NJ to get away from that). It's sitting in the driveway..... has been for 4 years.

Next, the same daughter spun out and went air-born with my 89 Mustang GT Convertible.... you guessed it... totaled... and sitting in the driveway for 1 year.

Now it's my turn.... a few weeks ago, I hydroplaned, and took my 89 Mustang LX "offroad"... hit a 4x4 post and took out the whole right side. Just got back from the junk yard where I bought 2 hoods, 2 fenders, a door, and some underbody parts.

My Silverado engine wiped the cam, so the engine is on a stand in my garage. The transmissin I bought at Advance Auto has the wrong electronics in it (700R4's are not all the same) so it blows the radio fuse every time it shifts into overdrive. I had to pick... Radio or overdive. I disconnected the transmission. I have to rebuild the original... it's sitting on the bench.

I have the engine, transmission, steering gear, fuel lines (all the way to the tank), brake lines etc removed from my Crown Vic... that car may never see the road again. I can't even move it around because the front wheels go in different directions.

I need to build a bigger garage, but my computers are so full & slow that I cannot load the design software.... so I have to build a new computer before I can even start the garage project... which I need to work on the cars.

When I feel overwhelmed, I tell myself.... just do something... even if it seems insignificant... all the little things add up, and the list eventually gets shorter. Just have to keep motivated and keep chipping away at it.

Misery loves company... just take it one day at a time.
