Vette engine question
I have a 75 Vette engine block that I'm putting into a 57 Chevy. I noticed on the drivers side of the engine near the oil filter area there are three holes. One is above the filter housing and is a pipe thread, the other two appear to blind bolt holes. If this engine came from a standard Vette would these be for mounting the engine ball stud for the cross shaft? If I don't block them off will oil come out of these holes? They are not pipe thread either, they are bolt threads.

The two upper holes (level with each other) are for the clutch ball stud. The Corvette uses the forward one, other cars used the rear. The hole right above the oil filter is where the oil pressure sender for the Corvette is screwed in. Plug that one.
