Default C3 Rims

Does anyone know what the largest size rim I can put on my 78 vette? And does anyone have any pics of their C3 with custom rims?

Thanks: Gene.

Wow, Those pics look pretty good. I cant wait to see some more, I want to get some 20's for my car but not in the Krager style rim. I cant wait to see more pics of C3's with custom rims. Has anyone lowered their C3 at all?

Thanks: Gene.

All I did was put on offset trailing arms to accomodate 10" wide rear wheels. If I were to use 8" wheels all around it would have been a complete bolt on...

How much were the offset trailing arms, and how hard were they to put on?

They were not hard at all, I did it while I had the body off... I've heard few horror stories about stubborn bolts in the trailing arms pockets though.

Did you have to lower you car at all to get that look? It seems like everyone has krager style rims on their cars. They look good!!

Red73,
You have one of the best looking 73's on here IMO. Great job on the lowering and rim selection. Those Hooker side pipes don't hurt either.

I just ordered Intro Vrod for our 72 with tires. I have talked with them at the GOOd Guys car show for 2 years in a row. The rep has several c3 himself and is very familar with size. I went with 18 x10 back 17 x 8.5

What about wheel offsets, and tire sizes? And are you going to have to put offset trailing arms on? Im looking to do the same thing but I dont want the wheels and tires sticking out past the fender flares, And I dont want a tire profile smaller then 3 inches. We have a lot of pot holes in my area and low profile tires would be a bad idea.

Intros are all custom built to the car. I like them because they have a large lip and with them custom built the offset is perfect. Also the valve steam is on the back side lip to give a smooth look and the backside is also polish. I have Iforge on my 350z which is made by the same company but are the piece version and very pleased with the quality. My vrods should be in about 4 weeks. I will post pics of them when I put them on the frame, vette still apart. I am at work I will get the tire size later. The combo price was $2500
