http://www.rddyno.com/about.php in Gardena came very highly recommended to me. However they screwed up my booking and after straping my car to the dyno told me they only had time for a base run, no tuneup! I was pretty upset after driving an hour and a half in stop in go traffic to get there. I never went back to them.
But in the short time I was on the dyno he quickly found a simple problem that was costing me 75hp!
I recently vowed to never burn bridges. My car is more important than my pride. I think they are outstanding.
I later went to another shop in Lancaster and had them tune it. They had tuned a friends car and did a decent job, but I wasn't completely saticfied.
Later that same friend went down to R&D and he said they did an outstanding job. His car was Fuel Injected. mine is Carburated.
R&D assured me that they are very good at tuning carbs.
When I lived in Costa Mesa and Irvine, I used to visit McJacks Corvettes on Harbor Blvd. http://www.mcjackscorvettes.com/ Owner's name is Jack. You might also talk with John, but he mainly does sales. He does not have a dyno, but is purely Corvette.
In relation to the previous response, I talked with Jack earlier this week even though I am now in Cleveland, OH and he mentioned they are filming three episodes of Over Haulin' at his shop in November.
