I want to use mine as a daily driver, but being under 21 and having 6 points makes it hard to get insurance on it. So I got historic tags and I drive it on weekends. I always count down to saturday and sunday like its Christmas or something. Gotta love the vette...I drive my Mustang to work everyday and when it rains real bad I'll drive my Sebring.

Mine's a daily driver. The only time I'm not is when there's ice and snow on the ground, which isn't a very common occurance here. Man do I miss that AC though

Default 9,000 + miles this year

It's a toss up between my Vette and my 67 Harley and my old 68 GMC gets jealous if I don't pay attention to it too.

So many toys, so little time.

well untill a couple of days ago i had planned to drive my car everyday untill the first snowfall. then all winter i would drive my 78 firechicken. but i just found a whack of frame rust in the frame rails so ill have to tear her down and fix her up before i can drive her again. i drove the vette for one day in total. and i miss it like crazy!

yes, i drive it every day during the non winter months - unless it is raining.

the odd part is that where i am from, i get teased heavily every single day for driving an american car, regardless of how nice it is.

(i live in yuppie land)

I drive mine as much as possible. The t-tops leak(had the replacement seals for a year now!) so I limit driving in the rain, but once the tops are done all bets are off. Only time I won't drive it is during the winter months. Too bad the car doesn't have any rust-proofing! I just did my second autocross with it. Wish I could afford better rubber. Autocrossing my scirocco was much cheaper! And faster! But not for much longer.

I may take it out on the lake this winter if I can get some cheap steel wheels and make some ice-racing tires. A friend offered to tow it there to avoid the salty roads. We'll see! Can you say power oversteer!

I trust my car enough to be a daily driver but I prefer to drive it on nice days or weekends.

My 71 is a daily driver. What good is a car if you can't drive it? Sure you can build it and build it and build it but where do you get your joy if you can't drive it? If it's raining out, I just drive mine to class and back home. About 2 miles tops. Any other day, I drive it as much as I want. I find the more you drive it, the less frustration. If it isn't driven much, then you'll find something wrong with it everytime. If driven everyday, there's not so much that is found because you deal with it until it can be fixed.

I drove mine daily for 6 years all seasons here in north Jersey. Only because it was my only car. Would I do it again? No. I spent 2G for a Saturn I can beat on and not have to worry about parking in North Jersey's lovely cities.

I drive my 79 everywhere but work...45 min drive at 70-80 mph next winter have plans to put in 700R4. The TH350 is a great Trans. but with 3.55's out back The vette is just screaming at you at 75 mph. I welcome that extra Gear.
