Default C3 daily drivers?

I was just wondering how many people use their vette as a daily driver? Even with gas going up.

I depends on how you define daily driver.

I drive mine on as many nice days as possible. Last week I drove it all week. Yesterday I drove the Maxima to church (the church is in a bad neighborhood, so I don't like to drive the Vette there), then I washed the Maxima. Because the Maxima was so clean I decided to drive it to work today. Tomorrow I need to take a Bass to a co-worker, it won;t quite fit in the vette. So Wednessday I plan to take the Vette to work.

Gas prices don't effect me too much. The Maxima gets 18mpg around town and the Vette 12 or so. For how little I drive the MPG difference has little affect on how I decide which car to drive.

If money were that tight I'd have sold the Vette long ago!

I drive mine if its a warm day with no threat of rain (no convertible top) and the vette is not on jackstands and the carb is in one piece and I'm not fiddling with the timing

I thought these cars were a garage hobby .. you mean you can drive them too?

well I just got mine about a month or so ago, but I drive it most of the time now that it's painted. my other option is a lifted jeep wrangler which actually gets WORSE mileage I think lol

once winter gets here, though, i'll still drive it any day there isn't a threat of snow at all.

My '76 is my daily driver, to from school etc. Even though my paint is crap and the interior is dying it's a blast!

My rules:

Beautiful weather--the Vette.

If it's the worst weather in twenty years--and I have to go pick up a model--the Vette.

My Vette is crap in the rain, but I'll drive it any other day. I don't drive it to work though, because I don't see the point in leaving it in an open parking lot for 12 hours.

I used to think a nice drive was great cheap date..... now it is cheaper to walk to the movie theater.... I never would have thought the outragous movie prices would ever seem reasonable LOL

I'd love to use my 76 as a daily driver, but I work on a college campus and parking is about a half mile from my office. I don't like the idea of leaving the car out of my sight and in the weather every day. If I could leave it in a place where I could see it, that would be a different story.

Mine is a daily driver. I like to spread the oil stains around and not keep them all to myself in my driveway.
