I need help now!
I'm going to go pick up a set of flowmaster 40s from a guy at 6:00 pst, and he has a set of offset/offset 3", and a set of offset/center 2 1/4". Now I know that the stock mufflers are offset/offset 2 1/4", so which would be easier to get? Would I have to make/buy adapters for the 3"? I have a '76. Please help me as I only have a couple of hours to choose!

2 1/4 would be easiest.. by a long shot
worst case senario, bring the mufflers to a shop and have them enlarge the ends a tad and run a bead of weld or clamp it in place
