Default Just bought a 1975 convertible!!!

I am really excited. Its an Orange Flame Exterior/Black interior with a white ragtop and a painted hardtop. Car is an L48 auto. I bought the car from a broker and haven't seen it in person yet. I'm actually freaking out a little bit about that. I keep imaging a car that looks one way in the photos and then looking COMPLETELY different in person, ie. big crack running down the middle of the car, looking like it was painted with a brush, brakes don't work, etc... I need to get it delivered from Atlanta area. The car is actually a gift for my wife. Its our anniversary this month and last year she bought me a new C6. I am returning the favor with this 75. She has always wanted a 1975 because it is her birth year. Not my favorite vintage but as long as she's happy. Can't wait to show it to her. She'll either love it or be very mad at me for spending the money. Wish me luck!!!

I'm not usually one to give relationship advice Weez, but sooner later she is going to realize that she bought you a NEW C6 and that you only bought her a 75. Better get her some jewelry too!! Nice stuff, tennis bracelet or something.

Naw. She's good in the fact that she's not selfish. Complete opposite of me!!!! She actually drives the C6 occasionally but she's always got the kids in tow which means she's always in the Suburban. I'm the one who seems to wind up with the cool cars and she doesn't complain. I think the 75 vert will be a nice surprise for her. It'll be her "fun car" hopefully; something she can call her own.

Congrats and best of luck.
I am thinking you will probably have your fingers crossed until the car shows up. I hope that it is as nice as you pictured it.

Hey, a convertible is a convertible. Dosen't matter that it's a '75 L48. She'll love it.

Congrats...I'm looking for a '75 vert now also. I think I found one today and made an offer. Wish me luck.....MY wife wants a '73 vert. But she'll have to buy it herself, cause I bought her a '92 vert last Christmas. Ha!!

Just bought a '75 vert today....going to pick it up tomorrow. Found a beautiful NOM in Deleware. Here's a pic. jd

I'll get pics as soon as I get the car. If you want to see it, its listed on www.americanstreetmachines.com under the Vette section. Its the only 75 in there so shouldn't be too hard to find. Thanks for the support guys!!!
