Got a gremlin
No, not the car. The ls-1 is running, almost ready for some serious cruising and sounds awesome. The exhaust is a work of art, I am MOST impressed. My problem is, as some of you know, I installed a set of AM Cobalts. The alt is putting out 14.5 volts, however, the voltmeter is reading about 12. When I used the turn signals, it bounces. Oil pressure gauge is inop as is Water temp, Tach reads about 200 rpm lower than the engine is running. I used the stock power and ground wires to hook them up (soldered, not butt-spliced). The tach runs off of the PCM, oil and water from senders. Obviously I have a voltage drop, anyone have ideas as to where a bad connection might be? Is there a cannon plug in the firewall that I don't know about? Thanks, B.
