Would you pay $10,000 for 12 mint unopened Pez dispensers from 1955? Probably not. I sold those to one buyer about 8 years ago.

Now, would you pay over $800,000 for a car? I know I wouldn't. But somebody did. Here. I like the teaser in the ad that says:

"This Corvette took 4 years to restore and no expense was spared. Every part is Original or NOS. The estimsted value of this car exceeds 1.2 million and may fetch as much as 3 million at the Barrette-Jackson Auction."

There ARE people in this country with too much money...

There are bid dollar guys who speculate in rare cars, rather than stocks..seems the cars are more stable and are not as volitile to economic changes as stocks.

And, when you lose your shorts, at least you'll look cool driving it.

Hmm, I wonder if the new owner will ever drive the car? Sharing the road with 16 year old girls on cell phones wouldn't seem like a wise idea.

Here is the quote for that car:

But seriously, wouldn't you just love to buy it and when the seller asks where your trailer is, you respond, "Man, I am driving this puppy home."

Then promptly take it to 7000 rpm in his driveway and leave two big black strips of rubber.

You're right, there are some people who have too much money. And, while I don't dwell on it, I wouldn't be too upset about being one of them!

Can probably shed some light on the PEZ maybe... that's why Meg Whitman started Ebay in the first place - she is a huge PEZ collector and so are some of her friends. I first joined Ebay not too long after it started (96?) and they were snapping them up then.

Brings a new meaning to the phrase "you can live in your car, but you can't race your house."
