Finally got the C3!

The paint is worse than we first thought; we're already considering pulling the chrome & trim, and painting it ourselves.
The engine's got some rust inside by the valves and valve springs; we're hoping that's not a sign of worse things to come. We ended up pulling off the antenna, since it doesn't want to retract yet; this could be due to the power connector to raise & lower the antenna being broken or disconnected. We didn't want to mess with it yet; we just wanted to get the car cover on it and button it up, since we were losing light.
And sadly, we've got about a week's worth of work ahead of us before we're even close to getting it running; the throttle cable's cracked, the secondaries on the carb are coated with carbon, and vacuum hoses are showing cracks.
We also discovered that the bra has been hiding some fiberglass damage; it's gone from spidering to an actual hole.
Since we're going to paint it ourselves, we're going to just buy a new front bumper and prime/paint it; not sure where we're going to get it from yet, though!
And...not to be a ninny, but...if that's a '74, why does it have a '75+ rear facia?
I prefer the '74 rear-end...

I was kinda surprised myself to see the car outfitted with a different rear than the split bumper.

Yet ANOTHER part we're gonna have to change over.
As for the color, it's like a metallic avocado green color (not a stock color). It reminds me of pea soup.
We're debating on what color to repaint it, because as you can see, the paint's pretty bad. I'm thinking either yellow, metallic blue with white racing stripes, or a smoke grey with black racing stripes. I'm toying with the idea of a copper orange with white stripes, but I'm not sure about that yet. Trying to Photoshop those colors in based on the pictures I took, and will see what they look like...Thankfully, graphic arts is also one of my hobbies!
I think it's a reasonable price; yeah, we have to redo the paint, and currently the car's non-running (after looking at the current problems with the car, it'll be about 3 weekends worth of work, doing the valve adjustments, rebuilding the carb, setting timing, etc. to get it up and running), but other than that, I think it was decent.
The interior's clean, the leather seats look brand new...And we've decided to just buy some of the new body parts, since we're going to repaint.
