Default New engine stand and tranny

Got the tko-600 on there. Should there be a boot where the clutch fork is? I didnt get one with the kit

Welded up a motor stand to support the engine by the mounts. also supports the tranny. A little surface rust on the square tubing, nothing serious, only using this stand for maybe a month more than its either powdercoating or garbage. If i end up keeping it then wheels will be installed.

Looks like a Keisler kit? Hope you like it! I LOVE mine. Which OD ratio did you get? If it's the .64 make sure your rear gearing is no lower (nemerically) than 3.36:1. I've got 3.36's and my cruise rpm at 65 is only 1700. I'm thinking of bumping up to 3.73s... My current engine lugs along fine at that speed, but the new one will be cammed much higher and I don't think a cruise speed less than 2000 will cut it.

Yes, there should be a boot on the fork. Doesn't surprise me that it wasn't included... You should be able to find one most anywhere that sells Chevy parts. That bellhousing and fork was used for decades...

My rear is 3.08 i think. I got the .64 also, but i think being EFI i can keep it running good just above 1000, if not then ill cruise on 4th. This is not going to be a daily driver.

I'm running 308 gearing also with the tremec and at 1200 rpm I am running 50 mph and 1550 at 60. The motor seems quit happy running along at this rpm.

Glad to hear that. I wasnt really expecting any drivability problems, but its always good to know.

Norval, what model tremec do you have?
How has it been holding up behind that blower motor?
