Default stupid question......

often when a member posts a question, i see . and it appears to be a sort of insult if a stupid or simple question is asked, ( like mine is now ). what does this mean and why are members quick to not help someone seeking c3 knowledge,

My version...I use it to indicate interest or may have same question...so basically,it means "Me To" but lurking to get the same answer...or just hanging out to see responses..I don't recall seeing it used as an insult...just my opinion...

I thought it meant that the person was going to also watch this thread to see what the responses were. Not that it was an insult, but that there was interest to see what happens.....

I've used it rarely but not to insult anyone. When I've been interested in a response to a particular post, sometimes I've used one of these little guys:

My question is? WHY DO THEY RESPOND IF THEY HAVE NOTHING TO SAY?
I can only guess to run up their message post number! It's just junk for the rest of us to have to read through. Go eat your pop corn somewhre else.

I think I would rather have someone post the popcorn than nothing at all. At least that way I would know that someone has looked at or considered my question, but maybe had nothing to contribute other than interest. It also is a way to get the thread back to the top, rather than continually buried at the bottom.

After you posted a ttt or a you can find the thread in your "recent topics" ... that makes it very easy to find this thread the next time you're online...
