Default History of my 1977

I was wondering if there is any place that i could find out the history on my car. something like a car fax. I have tryed to find places that offer this service but they stop at around 1980. any info would be great.

An option is getting a copy of your dealers invoice from GM..tells dealer where vette was sold, how equiped, options that were on it..etc...$50...available for vettes 1977 and up...

Contact Allied Vaughn for order form:
Phone (419)887-6856 or fax (419)887-6851
Maybe not what you are looking for,but might help...

My dad did it for me so I don't know the exact procedure but somehow he contacted the state and filled out a form and requested my car's history. Fortunately my car had only been owned in Missouri, I think for his '64 Chevy 2 he had to track it through several states (new form for each state). That gave me year/owner's name/miles at a dozen or so different times. Made me 100% sure of my odometer's accuracy

When you get your dealers invoice, you can send a copy to Triple A Enterprises for a reproduction window sticker...
As far as owners, accidents, etc,I;m affraid you will have to write various State DMV to get info...at least with the invoice, you will have a starting point...

I'm in the same situation with my 69....I have traced ownership back to a guy in Wisconsin via receipts that came with vette...he did a frame off 1990-1994----then sold it prior to 1999 when a local bought it here...the 502 went in then...from resto pics,I can tell vette was never hit...great detail pics of entire restoration.frame and all..I've learned more from receipts..have all from 1990 up till I bought it last month...
