What do you guys recommend for a fuel pump?
GPH rating?
return line?
I want something chrome but want to make sure I get a quality one. I read a link a while back about someone using the Edelbrock and having inconsistent fuel pressure.
I posted a similar question back in the summer. Since I'm running mostly stock, I was advised to go to Napa and get a replacement from them. It bolted right in.
Someone here said that the stock pumps are good to over 400hp, and that the 3/8" fuel line is good to over 500hp, so i would go and pick up the standard pump...prob around $20 if I remember correctly.
inconsistent fuel pressure. I went with the Carter Pump, natural aluminum finish. Part#M60969 was the Carter I used, this is the Nascar pump 150+ GPH with the AN fittings, you may not need that though.
Before the 533 cube, I ran the solid roller in the 427 and stock pump..worked like a charm.
Hhmm.... My nearly stock '74 LS-4 has a return line. And I know it's factory. Used a stock replacement CarQuest unit on it. Of course, it hasn't moved off of its jack stands yet....
