No problems at all
Anyone out there also constantly on the road with zero problems?

I replied that "I know I'm gonna need them".
I've only had the '74 for a few weeks now and only one "on the road" problem and got home with no trouble. It's a '74, I expect to break down. I'm havin' fun though.
you're in here all the time whineing about something or other.

First off your not big enough to talk to me like that.
Second I "whine" about tuner issues, not break down issues. The cars on the road 24/7 with the exception of the times I take it down for upgrades aka last week chrome altenator, vitron valve seals, poly bushings or some such thing.

Then again, it wasn't working BEFORE we bought it, either...But we bought it knowing that.
It needs a new coil and valve adjustment, and probably fresh fuel at the very least; maybe even a carburetor rebuild, before it's running.
Oh, and we need a new battery, which we're getting tomorrow (an Optima Red top). But hey, these classics break down because they're old cars! It happens!
Shoot, my '67 Jaguar goes through the same problems; we got the motor mounts replaced and rebuilt the carbs, only to have the distributor self-destruct. Fixed the distributor, tried re-tuning the car, and then a noise started up in the front of the car, sounding like metal hitting against metal. Turns out the noise causing that is the impeller of the water pump hitting against the housing; the bearings have disintegrated enough to where the water pump pulley tilts up and down 1/4" either direction when we rev the engine.
They're project cars, and there's ALWAYS a project to fix or "fix", as we see fit, right?

the only thing i have had too change are the rear tires
of course i have dumped pretty much $$ on fun stuff also but it have never stopped on me
