how to attach stingray emblem?
almost set to buy my first vette ('72 coupe). It is missing the Stingray emblems on the front fenders. Holes were filled on last paint job. I really like the emblems, and want to add them back. What is the recommendation? drill holes for the studs or grind off the studs and use some sort of adhesive? Does anyone have the exact measurements of where these emblems should be?

The new emblems I bought had adhesive and prongs for the holes, just peel and stick. You can just cut the prongs if you don't want to drill holes in your fender. Of course you'll need to figure out the alignment.

Yikes!!! I think I would go the route of grinding down the studs and then stciking it to the car with some type of trim adhesive. I can picture a big chip of paint flying off the car (think exit hole from a bullet). But if you are handy and know what you are doing, go for it!

Yes the emblems come with two sided tape allready on them.Just snip off the prongs and file down what you can't get to with the snips.Be careful you don't file into the tape.Real easy.If I can do it a blind moron can.
